Employers and Social Networking
Supposedly employers are now looking for job applicants and judging them for what they see on the internet, like Facebook and Myspace. From their Facebook page, they can see if the applicants would make good employees or not. I think that the employers are pretty smart for doing this, and it is alright because the Facebook page is public and the employees should know not to put bad things on their pages. But, I also think that the employers don't have any right to just look at the person's profile secretly, to judge how they would work. You can't really believe everything you see online and I think it's not really fair for the employers to judge someone just by their profiles. Sometimes, what we see on people's profiles are accurate, but not all the time because some people pretend to be people they are not. Personally, I probably would not show my Facebook page to my employers, because they would probably not like everything they saw.
