Bullying

When I read the article about a 15 year old girl who commited suicide because of bullying, I was pretty sad about it since I used to know someone close to my age that commited suicide. I learned from the article that bullying can actually really affect people, even if it doesn't look like it. I think the teens who bullied the girl should be arrested or taken to couseling or something because they are the ones who led the girl into a suicidal state. I have seen some bullying at this school, but not much. If you see someone being bullied and want to help, you could probably go to a counselor or teacher, or someone in charge at the school. From this really sad story, I think people should learn that even if you say something to someone and think it's not that mean, it might actually affect them in serious ways. That story is really sad...

Employers and Social Networking

Supposedly employers are now looking for job applicants and judging them for what they see on the internet, like Facebook and Myspace. From their Facebook page, they can see if the applicants would make good employees or not. I think that the employers are pretty smart for doing this, and it is alright because the Facebook page is public and the employees should know not to put bad things on their pages. But, I also think that the employers don't have any right to just look at the person's profile secretly, to judge how they would work. You can't really believe everything you see online and I think it's not really fair for the employers to judge someone just by their profiles. Sometimes, what we see on people's profiles are accurate, but not all the time because some people pretend to be people they are not. Personally, I probably would not show my Facebook page to my employers, because they would probably not like everything they saw.

:D

Well, I guess I'll start with what I'm going to do this weekend. There's going to be a benefit for Haiti by where I live and so I think I'll probably work there or just hang out with some people. My sister's leaving tomorrow to go back to Santa Cruz so we'll probably do something fun before she leaves, like going to the beach. The last time I was over at Mendocino, it was amazing and really nice out, so we'll probably head over there for awhile. Collie Buddz, one of my favorite musicians, is haveing a concert in Santa Cruz sometime soon so I'll hopefully be going to that with my sister, some cousins, and friends. I'm not sure where I'm going this summer yet, but I'm hoping to go to Reggae on the river with some friends...should be pretty amazing :)
I don't really know what else I should talk about, so that's it for now...

Dream car

One "affordable" dream car that I found was a BMW 128i, Coupe style. It is white and really cute :) It gets 28 MPG and the insurance can be cheaper if you get at least a B average in your grades at school. If so, the insurance company can give you up to a 25% discount. I really like this car because of how it's made and because it's a stick-shift, which is really fun to drive. Some cool things about it is that it has heated seats and a sunroof, which is pretty awesome. It isn't my total dream car, but pretty nice anyway.

Future life...

I’m not exactly sure of what I want to do in the future yet, since I’ve got a while until then. I know that I want to go to college after high school, somewhere by a sunny beach and I definitely want to go traveling for a few years, all around the world. I’ve always thought about cooking school, but also want to do a lot of other things in my life. As soon as I turn 18, I want to maybe take a year off before college, to go traveling, skydiving, and bungee jumping with some friends. One college that I am really interested in is UC Santa Barbara or UC Santa Cruz, because I love the campuses. In ten years, I am not really sure what I will be working at, but maybe something to do with cooking, like running my own bakery or something like that. I’ve always loved baking and I want work, doing something that I actually enjoy. I think I would probably live in a city for awhile, but not in the middle of it. I would like to live in a place near a beach or near snow, because I love the beach and also love to snowboard. I would like to live in a somewhat large city because everything would be nearby and it would be fun to have so many places to go. Eventually, I would like to buy my own house. I’ve always dreamed of having a big enough house for a few people to live in, right by the beach with all the right accessories. It would be nice to live close to the city, so that it wouldn’t take long to get into town. I’m not sure what kind of car I would like yet, but I’ve always liked Acuras, or Honda Civics. Some day, I think it would be nice to have a family to live with. Right now I live in a pretty big family, there’s seven of us including my parents, and it’s always crazy at my house, so I don’t think I’d want as big of a family. It’s kind of hard to try and see what my lifestyle would be like in ten years, but I’ll try my best to come up with something. In ten years, I would be 26, so hopefully I will meet someone to live and travel with by then. I would like to travel a lot by then and visit all the places I’ve ever dreamed of going. I will hopefully have a house by then and friends to hang out with at the beach. My hobbies then will probably be baking, dancing, snowboarding, and hopefully surfing, I’d like to get good at that. I will hopefully lead a mostly healthy life and exercise as much as I want to. Hopefully in the future, I will have pets, as I do now and I want to get my skydiving license and learn to sort of fly an airplane, just for the heck of it. Maybe some day I’ll have my parents teach me some things about medicine, but I mostly want to travel and have fun for as long as I can.

Things that bother me

I have a few pet peeves that really bother me, but one main one is when guys hang their pants too low. I mean, when they're just sort of low, it looks cool, but when it's to the point where their entire boxers are hanging out, it mostly looks pretty ridiculous. I mean, why not just use the belt you're wearing so it works right, I don't understand, I guess it's a guy thing. Another things that really bugs me is when you're telling a story, or talking with your friends about something really interesting, and someone else interupts you. It just ruins the moment basically. :)
I could go on for days about what bothers me, but I'll just talk about one more.
When people pretend to be listening to what your saying to them, but are really doing something else, like texting, or reading the newspaper and when you ask them if they agree with you, they just reply with a "mhmm" or "yeah," but they don't really know what they're responding to. Well, that's about all I can come up with for now, so, until later. :P

Spring Break

During the Spring Break, I didn't actually do much except swim and relax in the sun. My sister came up for a couple weeks from Santa Cruz and we had a lot of fun. I went to Mendocino and hung out on the beach for a day with some friends and got asked to go party with a group of homeless guys who lived in little drift wood huts on the beach, pretty fun stuff! I went to my cousin's birthday party and we stayed up really late, just hanging out and talking. For most of the break, I hung out with my friends and cousins and we went swimming most of the days in a lake by my house. It was an awesome break, mostly to just hang out with people and relax. =)
